Get your explorer hats on, trainers. We might just have our best look yet at the world of Pokemon Wind/Wave, and it sounds like there's a whole lot of ocean to cross.
Pokemon Wind/Wave is the tenth generation of mainline Pokemon games, slated to launch in 2027 exclusively on Switch 2. Today, well-known Nintendo insider Centro Leaks dropped a fresh image that he says is the most complete map of the game's region to date. And if it's legit, we're looking at an island-hopping adventure on a massive scale.
According to the leak, the map lists islands and their corresponding locations across the left and top sides, numbered from Island 1 all the way up to Island 19. There are also marked areas like Ocean 1 and Deep Sea 8, which suggests the game world is divided into distinct island zones with plenty of water in between. Under each island, you'll find different terrains and exploration spots: jungles, swamps, volcanic caves, snowy areas, ruins, mines, and coastlines. That's a pretty rich mix of biomes, and it hints at a region that's way more varied than a single landmass.
The top-right corner of the image is dedicated to legendary Pokemon encounter locations. Beyond the cover legendaries, the game apparently features three additional legendary Pokemon. That's a detail that'll definitely get theory-crafters talking.
If these details hold up, they could give players an early sense of how the world is structured. But before you start planning your island itinerary, keep in mind the image explicitly notes that the data comes from 2024. That means things could still change during development, so it's best to take it all with a grain of salt.
Still, it's fun to imagine what a 19-island Pokemon region could look like. Would you rather explore every corner of each island, or sail straight for the deep sea? Let us know what you think!
