MW4 Mastery Camos: All 9 Grinds for Multiplayer, Warzone & DMZ

Ready to grind for the rarest skins in Modern Warfare 4? The camo chase is back and bigger than ever, with nine mastery camos spread across multiplayer, Warzone, and DMZ. Plus, there's a brand-new prestige camo system that rewards you for resetting your rank. Let's break down every single one and how to get them.

Starting with multiplayer, there are three mastery camos: Mercurial Drift, Polyatomic Reforged, and Orion Reforged. The process is familiar: unlock every base camo for a weapon, and you'll get the challenge for Mercurial Drift. Once you've earned Mercurial Drift for every weapon in a class—like assault rifles or snipers—you'll unlock Polyatomic Reforged challenges for that class. Polyatomic Reforged is an updated take on the MW2 and MW3 classic. Finally, Orion Reforged, another updated variant, requires earning Polyatomic Reforged on every base game weapon. That's 33 weapons at launch, though post-launch additions will let you skip a few guns as long as you hit the same total count.

Now, prestige camos. MW4 introduces a new concept: Pyroclast camos, earned by climbing the classic prestige system—the one that resets your rank. There are four variants: Pyroclast, Pyroclast Verge, Pyroclast Scatter, and Pyroclast Cascade. You'll likely earn the base Pyroclast at first prestige, with the others at higher milestones. It's unclear if you can go back and earn these if you choose the regular prestige path, so choose wisely.

Over in Warzone, there are three more mastery camos: Parallax, Damascus Reforged, and Empyros. Parallax is your first step, unlocked after getting every other camo for a weapon. Then, earn Parallax on every weapon in a category to unlock Damascus Reforged—an animated remix of the classic MW2019 camo, now in Warzone. The grind is reportedly less painful this time. Finally, Empyros is the ultimate prize, unlocked by earning Damascus Reforged for every weapon in Warzone. Think of it as a mode completion reward.

DMZ also gets three mastery camos: Chiral, Ripple Tide, and Helio. After finishing a weapon's base camo progression, you can complete a challenge for Chiral. Earn Chiral for every weapon in a single class—like SMGs—to unlock Ripple Tide challenges. And Helio? That's the big one, unlocked by getting Ripple Tide on every gun in DMZ. No extra challenges needed; it'll unlock automatically once you hit the required number.

Specific weapon challenges haven't been revealed yet, but Infinity Ward will share more as the release date approaches. We'll update this page with exact details when they drop. So, which mastery camo are you grinding for first? Let us know in the comments!
