Ever found yourself staring at that weird puzzle box in Hellraiser Revival, twisting it around and wondering what the heck you're supposed to do? You're not alone. The Genesis Configuration is your key to supernatural powers, but it also doubles as a lockpick for otherworldly doors. And if you don't get the shape just right, you're not going anywhere.
These puzzles pop up five times during the story, and you can't skip them. Each time, you're faced with a slot that the Genesis Configuration needs to fit into. You'll have to tweak each half of the box separately—cycling through different shapes and rotating them—until the whole thing matches the slot. It's a bit fiddly, but once you know the solutions, it's a breeze.
First up: Sunny's pillar. You'll find this during the 'Free Sunny's Soul' objective, after you navigate the labyrinth ruins. For side one, set it to a square shape and rotate it so it looks like a diamond. For side two, you want the configuration that resembles two parallel bridges—rotate it so one bridge is on the left, one on the right, with the 'legs' pointing inward.
Next is the Hand statue, available after you get the Hand statue piece from Bruno's house. Side one should be two boulder-like shapes (flat bottom, slightly curved top) sitting parallel. Rotate so one is on top and one on the bottom. Side two is the same shape, but rotated 90 degrees—so one shape is on the left and one on the right.
Then you've got the Head statue, which unlocks after you get the Head statue piece from the area opened by the Hand statue. Side one is just a square, the correct way up. Side two should be the border-like configuration with gaps on two sides and a star-shaped space in the middle. Rotate it so the gaps are on the left and right.
The Tongue statue comes next, available after you get the Tongue statue piece by solving the Well puzzle in the Head statue unlocked area. Side one is a standard square rotated to look like a diamond. Side two is the pattern with a block in each of the four corners—each block looks a bit like a petal.
Finally, the Factory shrine. You'll find it on the shrine inside the factory where the elevator to Marlowe and Bruno is. Side one is the same as the Tongue statue's side one: a standard square rotated to a diamond. Side two is the border-like configuration with a gap on either side, same as the Head statue's side two.
And that's all five! These puzzles don't give you any resources, but they're mandatory for progression, so you'll need to solve them to see the story through. Got a different way of remembering the shapes? Let us know in the comments!
