Japanese Model's Chun-Li Cosplay Steals the Show at TGS

Tokyo Game Show has wrapped up, but one thing from the Street Fighter 6 booth is still living rent-free in everyone's heads: a Chun-Li cosplay that absolutely stole the show.

The cosplayer in question is Yuka Kuramochi, and her take on the iconic fighter had jaws on the floor. Seriously, the internet hasn't stopped talking about it since.

Fans flooded the comments with praise, and plenty of them started asking the big question: should she suit up for a live-action Chun-Li role? Honestly, based on the photos, it's not the wildest idea.

For those who don't know, Kuramochi is a well-known gravure model in Japan. She's even earned a rather unique nickname — something along the lines of a "national treasure" for her, uh, standout features.

She's also no stranger to the fighting game world. Back in 2019, she tied the knot with pro Street Fighter player Fuudo, so she's been embedded in the FGC for years.

In past interviews, Kuramochi hasn't been shy about her personal life either, once saying she hoped her husband would really appreciate a certain... asset of hers after marriage. Make of that what you will.

Either way, her Chun-Li look was a genuine highlight of this year's Tokyo Game Show, and it's got people dreaming about a big-screen version of the character again.
