Pony Island Is Free on Steam Right Now - Grab It Before October 13

What if that cute little pony game was actually a trap set by a demon who hates you? That's basically the pitch for Pony Island, and right now you can grab it on Steam for absolutely nothing.

From Daniel Mullins, the mind behind Inscryption, Pony Island is a meta psychological horror puzzler that's free to claim on Steam until October 13. Log in with your Steam account before then, hit that claim button, and it's yours forever in your library. No catch, no subscription, just a permanent addition to your collection.

On the surface, it looks like an adorable arcade game about a pony jumping over obstacles. Sounds harmless, right? Wrong. The story actually traps you inside an arcade machine designed by a demon himself - one that's malicious, buggy, and falling apart at the seams. The demon really doesn't want you solving his puzzles or poking around his sloppy code, which is exactly what you're going to do.

That means thinking outside the box and digging deep into the weird system underneath, repairing and rewriting code as you go. It's the kind of game that keeps messing with your expectations, and if you've played Inscryption, you already know Mullins loves pulling the rug out from under players.

Gameplay-wise, Pony Island mixes things up with logic circuit puzzles, side-scrolling shooter sections, and retro arcade platforming. So it's not just one trick - it keeps throwing different styles at you as the creepy story unfolds.

The freebie window closes on October 13 at 1:00, so don't sleep on it. Once you claim it, it stays in your Steam library permanently. If you're into meta twists, psychological horror, or just want to see where the Inscryption creator got his start, this is an easy recommendation.
