Arc Raiders: Sizing Thing Up Quest Guide

Struggling with Celeste's Sizing Thing Up quest in Arc Raiders? Here's a step-by-step guide to finding the Emperor's leg, analysing it, and grabbing your rewards.

Arc Raiders: Sizing Thing Up Quest Guide

Ever found yourself wandering around Pendola Pass in Arc Raiders, wondering where the heck that Emperor's leg is? You're not alone. Celeste's Sizing Thing Up quest is one of those missions that sounds simple but has you scratching your head. Let's break it down so you can get in, get the loot, and get out.

First things first: you need to take a photo of the Emperor's leg near Old Town. Make sure you've got a camera equipped before you head out. Once you're there, you'll want to snap a picture from a specific angle to tick off the objective. The map location and the exact angle that worked for us are shown in the guide above.

Now, here's a crucial tip: after you take the photo, you'll have two objectives: an optional one to find a probe, and the main one to analyse the exposed area. If you complete the analyse objective first, you'll lose the chance to do the probe. Trust me, I learned that the hard way. So if you want that optional objective, hunt down the probe before moving on.

Next, head to Railroad Junction to analyse the exposed area on the Emperor's leg. This part can be tricky because there's no clear marker. Just climb up to the spot shown in the image, and you'll get a prompt to analyse the part. That done, the quest isn't over yet—more objectives will pop up.

Now, you need to reach the base of the Emperor and search the buried payload. Both steps are in roughly the same area. Head to the marked location to complete 'Reach the Base of the Emperor', which unlocks 'Search the Buried Payload'. Look for a half-buried, elongated box sticking out of the snow and wreckage. Search it to get an ARC Conductive Coupler.

Finally, extract with the coupler and bring it back to Celeste to claim your reward. You'll get three adrenaline shots, an Exodus Technical Handbook, a Bettina assault rifle, 60 heavy ammo, and 5000XP. Not bad for a day's work!

So there you have it—a complete walkthrough for Sizing Thing Up. Have you tackled this quest yet? What was your experience? Let us know in the comments!
