Remember when Battlefield 6 launched and everyone asked, 'Where's the server browser?' Well, the wait is almost over. EA and Battlefield Studios have confirmed that a proper server browser is coming to Battlefield 6 as part of the Season 5 update this December.
The game did have a server browser at launch, but it only worked for Portal mode—not the full experience fans were craving. One producer even questioned why players wanted a full server browser. Now, after listening to feedback, Battlefield Studios is delivering the real deal. With the Season 5 update, you'll be able to create your own servers and customize rules like map rotation and other details. This is huge for longtime fans who remember the classic-era Battlefield games, where server browsers let you pick exactly the maps and modes you wanted.
Season 5 is rolling out in waves, and it's packed with content. First up: Siege of Las Vegas on October 13, which adds two new maps—Vegas Strip and Area 51. For Battlefield 6's battle royale mode, RedSec, Siege of Las Vegas introduces Rapid Royale, a faster version with smaller player counts. That means quicker, more intense matches.
Then there's the Halloween event, running from October 20 through November 7. It features a limited-time scenario where you hunt down 'secret tech' beneath Area 51. Battlefield Studios stressed that this scenario is non-canon, and it includes a celebration of aliens and the Dead Space series. You'll even get to explore environments based on the 2023 Dead Space remake, plus unlock Dead Space-themed cosmetics.
Phase 2, called Casino Heist, kicks off November 10 and adds a new map called European Casino. Finally, Phase 3, Frozen Aces, arrives on December 8. As the name suggests, it brings cold weather to Las Vegas, along with a new operation across the Vegas Strip and Area 51. And yes, the server browser arrives during this phase.
Battlefield 6 was 2025's best-selling game in the US, even beating Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. With all this new content and the long-awaited server browser, it's shaping up to be a busy winter for Battlefield fans. What do you think—will you be jumping into a custom server this December?
