Ever tried to run a weed farm in GTA 5 only to end up golfing instead? That's exactly what happened to one modder when they installed WeedFarm (based on PlantationV), a mod that promises a full-featured farming system. The farms are there, the dealer is there, but the harvest? Not so much.
The problem? A key bind conflict. WeedFarm's master menu is bound to F3, but so are two other mods: a street golfing mod and a jetpack mod. Every time the player tries to open the farming menu, they start golfing and get asked if they want to equip a jetpack. They don't—they just want to farm weed.
Attempts to change the controls were futile. Although the mod includes an .ini file, there's no obvious way to rebind keys. So the player is stuck in a loop: press F3, golf, decline jetpack, repeat.
Visiting the dealer didn't help either. In frustration, the player punched the dealer's front door, only to discover that all melee attacks now detonate on impact—a bizarre side effect of mashing buttons in confusion.
So the weed farm remains unharvested. It's a classic modding headache: when multiple mods fight for the same key, chaos ensues. The player's dream of running a drug empire is derailed by an unslakeable lust for golf—and a jetpack.
