007 First Light Free DLC Teases Mystery Supercar

Ready for a new ride, 007 fans? IO Interactive just dropped a teaser for a free DLC coming to 007 First Light, and it features a mysterious sports car tearing down the highway with its engine roaring. Naturally, players already have a theory: it's the hybrid supercar Aston Martin Valhalla.

The free DLC is set to arrive on October 2, and IO Interactive shared the teaser through its official social channels. The studio didn't reveal any real details, but the footage shows a car speeding along a highway—plenty of fuel for speculation. Since Aston Martin has always been a key part of the James Bond series, and the Valhalla already left a little Easter egg in the game's main menu, fans are pretty confident about what's coming.

For those who need a refresher: 007 First Light is IO Interactive's third-person spy action adventure, built around Ian Fleming's James Bond novels and the films. It tells an original story starring a younger James Bond as he grows into an MI6 agent. So a shiny new Bond car fits the vibe perfectly.

According to IGN, the Valhalla update is expected to add a new tactical simulator (TacSim) mission where you drive the Aston Martin Valhalla and recreate a big action set piece from later in the game. There's also speculation that the free DLC won't be just one short mission—it could include New Game+, new gear, and other missions and extra content mentioned in the roadmap. That's a lot of potential bang for zero bucks.

But that's not all IO has cooking. The studio is also working on a story DLC centered on "Pirate King" Bawama, a character played by American singer-songwriter Lenny Kravitz. No exact release date yet—that's coming later—and this one will be a paid DLC.

As for the base game, 007 First Light is already out on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. It's been a hit, too: global sales passed 4 million copies within three months of launch. If you're waiting on the Nintendo Switch 2 version, though, you'll need to be patient—it's been delayed to March 2027 to make sure the port meets expectations.
