Have you ever wanted to channel the aura of a Pokemon while gaming? Razer's latest collaboration might just be for you.
Razer has been on a roll with officially licensed tech, and their newest creation is a Lucario-themed version of the BlackShark V3 X HyperSpeed headset. Unveiled this week on Razer's official blog, this headset features shiny blue earcups and artwork of the aura Pokemon printed across the headband. It's a sleek way to show off your love for the fighting-steel type.
Under the hood, it's the same BlackShark V3 X HyperSpeed you know, but with a fresh coat of Pokemon paint. The headset comes with a price tag of £119.99 and is available now for UK Pokemon fans. However, if you're in the US, you might have to wait a bit longer – it's not yet listed on the US Razer store.
Compared to some of Razer's other Pokemon collaborations, like the Gengar Kraken Kitty V2 that went all out with iconic head spikes, the Lucario Edition is a bit more subtle. But the shiny blue cups with cream-colored interiors still scream 'Lucario' and are sure to catch the eye of fellow fans. Plus, it makes perfect sense to pair an esports-focused headset with a Pokemon known for its competitive spirit.
If you're considering picking one up, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. First, as mentioned, US availability is still up in the air. Second, licensed tech usually comes at a premium. The standard black BlackShark V3 X HyperSpeed is £20 cheaper in the UK, and you get the same features: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, wired USB-C connectivity, 7.1 surround sound, a detachable cardioid 9.9mm microphone, and second-generation Razer Triforce 50mm audio drivers. So, you're essentially paying extra for the Pokemon flair.
If you're not a Pokemon fan, you can always check out the original headset, which is currently $79.99 at Amazon. But if you want to add some aura points to your setup, the Lucario Edition might be worth the splurge.
What do you think? Will you be picking up this Lucario-themed headset, or are you holding out for a different Pokemon? Let us know in the comments!
