God of War: Laufey Tops PS Store HK Charts at Just HK$388

Well, this is a surprise. God of War: Laufey hasn't even launched yet, and it's already sitting at the top of the PlayStation Store charts in Hong Kong.

The upcoming PS5 exclusive, developed by Sony Santa Monica and published by SIE, isn't due out until February 16, 2027. But pre-orders have officially gone live, and players in Hong Kong are clearly liking what they see.

Here's the number that's turning heads: HK$388 for the standard edition, with the Digital Deluxe Edition priced at HK$438. According to the source, that makes it the lowest-priced Sony first-party AAA title of the entire PS5 generation so far.

Compared to the hefty price tags most first-party blockbusters carry these days, that's a pretty friendly number. And it seems to have caught players off guard in a good way.

Today, the PS Store Hong Kong best-sellers list updated, and God of War: Laufey shot straight to the number one spot. Store screenshots show its recent pre-order momentum beating out multiple heavyweight releases, which says a lot about how well this pricing strategy has landed with the local audience.
