You know that feeling when an actor is just clearly, genuinely hyped about something they're in? That's exactly the vibe Deborah Ann Woll is giving off about God of War: Laufey.
Speaking at a recent Comic-Con event, Woll opened up about her involvement in the project and didn't hold back one bit. She called it, without a shred of doubt, the best project of her entire acting career.
According to Woll, the team behind the game has poured serious time and effort into every layer of the production. From the performances to the story design to all those tiny details, she says the standard being set is remarkably high.
What really stood out to her, though, is how the team keeps asking one key question: how do we genuinely grab the player's attention? The goal, she says, is to keep players on edge and constantly anticipating what comes next.
"It's a wonderful story, and it has a really outstanding team," she said. "Everyone brought their absolute best." In her eyes, the combination of committed actors, a professional crew, and that obsessive attention to detail is what makes this project feel different from the rest.
And here's the thing - Woll isn't exactly new to high-profile productions. She's been part of plenty of well-known film and TV projects over the years. So when she was asked how this one stacks up against her past work, her answer was about as clear as it gets. She's done good work before, sure, but God of War: Laufey is, in her words, far and away her best project.
She also noted that the team is still polishing things up, aiming to push the immersion even further. The hope is that players truly lose themselves in the story rather than just ticking off objectives like a checklist.
That's a pretty promising sign for anyone keeping an eye on this one. If the cast is this invested, there's a decent chance we're in for something special.
