October 2026's Massive Game Lineup: GTA 6 Avoiders Unite

Ever wondered what happens when the biggest game of the year is looming on the horizon? You get an absolutely stacked October, that's what. With Grand Theft Auto 6 launching in November, tons of games are sprinting to get out of its blast radius, and honestly, your wallet is the one that's going to suffer.

Kicking things off on October 1, Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered hits PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. If you've never experienced the musou madness, this is the perfect entry point. The remaster brings Unreal Engine 5 graphics, gameplay tweaks, and endless hordes of enemies to mow down. Sometimes you just want to turn your brain off and feel like a battlefield badass, right?

Also dropping October 1 is Ghost of Yotei: Complete Edition for PS5. For $70, you get the base game, the new Echoes of Sekigahara narrative expansion, a fresh combat-survival mode, the Ghost of Yotei Legends co-op mode, and all Digital Deluxe Edition content. If you held off on the original, this is your moment.

October 2 brings Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Developer Project Aces is pushing the aerial-action series to new heights with dogfights, rank progression, and a first-person story mode when you're not in the cockpit. Time to feel the need for speed.

On October 5, PC players can dive into Aion 2, an MMORPG where verticality is king. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the world is reportedly up to 36 times bigger than the original Aion. You'll chain skills on or above the ground, tackle over 200 dungeons, and lose hours in the character creator.

October 6 is a big one: Gears of War: E-day lands on PC and Xbox Series X|S. After seven years, the franchise returns to tell the story of humanity's first encounter with the Locust. The campaign channels the horror roots of the original, while multiplayer brings classic PvP and the new Horde Siege mode. That same day, Star Wars: Galactic Racer hits PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, blending roguelite progression with high-speed racing and some Burnout-inspired chaos.

October 8 delivers two horror treats. Hellraiser: Revival launches on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2, offering a survival-horror experience against Pinhead and his Cenobites. It's described as a very horny Resident Evil, so brace yourself. Also that day, Silver Pines arrives on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and Switch, a metroidvania-inspired love letter to classic survival-horror.
