The setup is simple enough: help a girl trapped in the Other Side find her way home. But the way you do it is anything but ordinary. Think of it like a tabletop RPG session that unfolds on your screen. You drag action cards and item cards onto scenes to trigger interactions, exploring unknown locations, dealing with strange enemies, and hunting for a route back to reality.

You play as Alice, gathering resources and feeling your way forward as scene cards keep flipping open. The road is not exactly friendly. Thugs block your path, dense forests hide danger, and bizarre hostile creatures are waiting around the corner. Do you cleverly use the items in your hand to take them down, or do you quietly slip away to another scene and look for a different way out? That call is entirely yours.

Select a card and you can preview how it might react with a scene or a character. Stay calm and observe, greet someone warmly, or just walk up and elbow them in the face. Different cards produce wildly different responses. You can even combine things with a bit of "I reckon this works" logic to craft strange new items. Feed a merchant hallucinogenic mushrooms, cheat in a minigame, or use sticky fingers to swipe a key item right off a boss. If you get stuck, a guide butterfly fluttering next to your quest log will point you in the right direction.

But that cozy fairy-tale vibe does not last. As the story moves forward, the pretty picture starts to crack. Cold wind picks up, a mysterious girl approaches out of nowhere, and the world around you begins falling apart. Alice touches a twisted space while fleeing and drops into a deeper layer of the dream. What actually happened to her in reality? And her true identity, trapped in here all along... it is Alice, of course.

Alice and the Other Side is already waving at you from across the divide.
