Flesh Grinding: The Horror Game That Mocks Your 9-to-5

Flesh Grinding is a PS1-style horror labour simulator where you grind flesh to earn blood for upgrades, and it's a darkly funny critique of capitalism.

Flesh Grinding: The Horror Game That Mocks Your 9-to-5

Ever feel like your job is just grinding away for someone else's profit? Well, a new game called Flesh Grinding takes that feeling and turns it into literal horror. It's a labour simulator where you pick up chunks of shapeless flesh, feed them into a grinder, and collect the mince—all while managing your IV drip of motivating fluid. Sound familiar?

Set to release in Q4 2026 (not to be confused with Fleshgrinder, which lands in Q1 2027—good luck keeping those straight), Flesh Grinding is one of those trendy PS1-style horror games. But mostly, it's a game about work. You start with a simple goal: grind a kilo of meat. Then five kilos. Each time you hit your quota, new areas open up with new machines—like one that turns flesh into IV-replenishing potions. Suddenly, you're not just running between piles and grinders; you're strategising the perfect loop to waste as little time as possible.

And that's exactly like real life. No, really. If you've ever worked a job that felt grey and arduous, where you're constantly trying to maximise every second before burnout hits, you'll recognise the loop. The game's creator compares it to writing freelance marketing copy—except with more blood and less existential dread (or maybe more).

What's impressive is how Flesh Grinding condenses that experience into a sickly addictive gameplay loop. It's laborious, yet moreish—you'll find yourself returning day after day to tweak your routine or test a new machine. And that's the real horror: the constant reminder that you're selling eight hours of your day to distant, unknowable forces, then spending your off hours figuring out how to do it more efficiently tomorrow. What a horrible scam we've played on ourselves.

So, will you be picking up Flesh Grinding when it launches in 2026? Or does the thought of grinding flesh for a living hit a little too close to home? Let us know in the comments!
