Take-Two Boss Hints PC Matters More Than Ever—But Where's GTA 6?

Ever wonder why more and more big games eventually make their way to PC? Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick has a theory—and it's one PC fans will love.

During Take-Two's recent annual meeting, Zelnick was asked about GTA 6 on PC. His response didn't give us a release date or a confirmation, but it did drop a pretty telling line: "The PC platform is becoming more and more important."

That's a big deal coming from the head of the company behind Grand Theft Auto. For years, PC players have watched Rockstar titles arrive on consoles first, with the PC version following later—sometimes much later. GTA 5, for example, launched on consoles in 2013 before hitting PC in 2015. Red Dead Redemption 2 followed a similar pattern.

So when Zelnick says PC is growing in importance, it's hard not to read it as a hint that Take-Two is paying closer attention to the platform. But here's the catch: he didn't actually confirm GTA 6 for PC. The question was asked, and the answer was more about the broader PC landscape than a specific yes or no.

That leaves us exactly where we were before—wondering when, or if, GTA 6 will come to PC. The game itself still doesn't have a confirmed release date, and Rockstar has been famously quiet about its plans. All we really know is that it's in development and that Take-Two is clearly thinking about PC as a key part of its future.

For PC gamers, Zelnick's comment is both encouraging and frustrating. Encouraging because it suggests the company isn't ignoring the platform. Frustrating because it's not the concrete answer everyone wants. If PC really is becoming more important, does that mean a simultaneous launch with consoles? Or are we looking at another years-long wait?

We don't know yet. But the fact that the question was even raised at an annual meeting shows how much pressure there is on Take-Two to address it. Players aren't just asking for a PC version—they're expecting one, and sooner rather than later.

For now, all we can do is keep an eye on official announcements and hope that Zelnick's words translate into action. The PC platform is growing, and Take-Two seems to know it. The only question left is whether GTA 6 will be part of that growth from day one.

What do you think—will GTA 6 launch on PC alongside consoles, or are we in for another long wait? Let us know in the comments.
