First up, Lucia's story seems to begin behind bars. While she's locked up, Jason is out working at a marina when he gets a call from her. They're clearly still in contact, so expect Jason to be counting down the days until her release. It's a setup that immediately raises the stakes for their relationship.

Speaking of which, the trailer doesn't shy away from intimacy. We see Jason and Lucia in bed and even sharing a shower. That physical closeness, mixed with the violent sequences, adds real depth to their bond. But it's still unclear how much of this is player choice versus scripted story, especially since Rockstar has said they're not necessarily a couple.

One detail that caught our eye: Lucia is wearing an ankle monitor during a shower scene. That suggests her release comes with conditions—maybe house arrest or a curfew. The same monitor appears in some of the game's key art. So even when she's out, she might not be entirely free.

We might also get a taste of Jason's military past. He's shown wading through swampy water with companions, wearing night-vision goggles and high-tech gear. Could be a flashback mission, or maybe a stealth op in the present day once they start making money. Either way, it looks intense.

For the second time in a GTA 6 trailer, a PS5 controller pops up. This one doesn't match the limited edition GTA 6 DualSense that Sony recently put up for preorder. Make of that what you will—maybe just a nod to the platform, or maybe something more.
