Have you ever fallen in love with a tiny, annoying Star Wars creature who just won't shut up? That's basically what's happening with Biddy Blas, the breakout star of Star Wars: Galactic Racer. This braggadocious pod racer and self-proclaimed mama's boy has won over the internet with his shrill Huttese quips, especially his iconic "Ding dong pookie, ding dong" and "Scrib doon!"
And the internet has responded exactly how you'd expect: with memes. Lots of them. There's a video of Biddy doing a little victory dance that people adore, and—because this is the internet—there's also a video of him dying in a fireball that people equally adore. The little brat has become the subject of meme after meme, and honestly, people seem to genuinely like him.
The man behind the voice is Richard Summers-Calvert, a British wrestler who sounds nothing like his screechy alter ego. In a video shared on X, Summers-Calvert admitted that all the sudden attention has left him "overwhelmed and overstimulated." And honestly, can you blame him? One minute you're a wrestler, the next you're the voice of a Star Wars meme.
But he's taking it in stride. He said he hopes to show up for new fans of the Shitto du jour at conventions and the like. In a follow-up video, he teased some "good news" that he wasn't ready to announce just yet, and thanked all the Biddy-heads for the doors that a sudden spotlight like this opens.
"I know you're doing it for Biddy. I know you're doing it for him. But I benefit from him as well … I appreciate all the love. And hate, and frustration," he said. Hey, it is a racing game after all—frustration comes with the territory.
This whole saga is just further proof that the true heart of Star Wars has never been the cosmic conflict between good and evil, or even the laser sword battles between space monks. No, the real heart of Star Wars is watching a crusty little freak say nonsense words and then going on a wiki to check if "jizz music" was a real thing George Lucas signed off on. (In the Disney era, it's been amended to the more family-friendly "jatz music," but a true jizz wailer never dies.)
So what do you think? Are you team Biddy Blas, or did you cheer when he went up in that fireball? Will you be picking up Star Wars: Galactic Racer to hear more of his quips? Let us know!
