13 Sentinels and Unicorn Overlord Soundtracks Are Coming to Vinyl

Ever wished you could spin the 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim soundtrack on your turntable? That wish is about to come true. Game Music Records has announced vinyl versions of three fan-favorite albums: the 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Original Soundtrack, the 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Remix & Arrange Album -The Branched-, and the Unicorn Overlord Original Soundtrack.

If you've played either game, you already know the music is a huge part of the experience. 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim pairs its time-hopping sci-fi story with a soundtrack that swings from moody to explosive, and the -The Branched- remix and arrange album gives those tracks a fresh spin. Unicorn Overlord, meanwhile, backs up its sweeping strategy RPG battles with a score that deserves more than earbuds.

Now all three are getting the vinyl treatment from Game Music Records. That means full-size artwork, that warm analog sound, and a nice big shelf piece for anyone who likes their game music physical. For collectors, this is the kind of announcement that makes you clear some space next to your console.

The catch? The announcement keeps things simple: these are vinyl releases of the three albums, and that's the news. Details like pricing, release dates, track listings, and whether we're getting fancy colored variants haven't been shared yet, so there's nothing to preorder just yet.

Still, the fact that these three are getting pressed at all says a lot. 13 Sentinels and Unicorn Overlord both come from Vanillaware, and their soundtracks have built up serious reputations among players. Seeing them lined up for vinyl is a nice nod to how much people care about the music behind the games.

So if you're the kind of player who keeps a soundtrack on in the background while you grind, or who just likes owning a piece of a game you love, this is one to keep an eye on. Game Music Records has confirmed the three vinyl albums, and more specifics should follow.

What do you think? Which of the three would you grab first, and will you be picking these up when they drop?
