Did you try to preorder the new Pokémon TCG set and get stuck in a 12-hour queue? You're not alone. Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Delta Reign, the final announced set for 2026, launches on November 6, 2026, and the preorder chaos is already legendary.
The set brings back Mega Rayquaza, last seen in Ancient Origins back in 2015. That alone has collectors hyped. The Elite Trainer Box (ETB) comes with 9 booster packs, exclusive promo cards, card sleeves, energy cards, and game accessories. The booster box has 36 packs—perfect for big openings. Booster Bundles include six packs, each with 10 cards, 1 Basic Energy, and 1 Pokémon TCG Live code card.
Preorders went live on Pokémon Center at the end of September, and it was a bloodbath. Queues stretched 12 hours, and fans reported tons of tech issues. One fan tweeted: "That Pokemon Center drop was a shit show, tons of errors and selling out that quick with reduced limits? Normally even when ETB's sell out Booster Boxes and Bundles last for a couple more hours but not this time. It just screams that this set is underprinted, maybe…"
So where can you still get Delta Reign at MSRP? Your best bet is Pokémon Center UK and US. The ETB is $59/£56.99. The first wave sold out, but more stock is likely. Pokémon Center also has an exclusive ETB with extra promo items and metallic coins/dice, plus a full-art foil promo card featuring Kyogre with the Pokémon Center logo. Booster boxes and displays usually last longer, but right now they're all sold out too.
If you miss out, TCGplayer is a third-party reseller option, but expect to pay extra. For the 30th Celebration set, Amazon UK and US ran a lottery system for MSRP, which helped with queues. It's unclear if they'll do the same for Delta Reign—currently no listings. In the US, Best Buy and Walmart are worth watching. Best Buy's My Best Buy Plus ($29.99/year) gives early access to TCG preorders. Walmart+ ($98/year or $12.95/month) offers free delivery and other perks.
In the UK, Magic Madhouse is great for singles and usually lists a few weeks after Pokémon Center. Smyths Toys has online and in-store options, but they sell out fast. Argos is a dark horse—unreliable but occasionally stocks cards.
Unlike the 30th Celebration, which was the first simultaneous global release, Delta Reign is already out in Japan as Storm Esmerelda. The biggest chase card is the Mega Rayquaza ex Mega Ultra Rare, illustrated by takuyoa, which hit an all-time high of $2,166.69 on TCGplayer. With that kind of hype, expect a mad rush.
