Warhammer Survivors Launches Days Before GTA 6

Are you ready to choose between purging Tyranids and causing chaos in Vice City? Warhammer Survivors launches on November 10 for PC, consoles, and mobile, and it's daring to drop just days before GTA 6 on November 19. That's some serious confidence.

Set in the grim darkness of the 41st millennium, Warhammer Survivors follows the Vampire Survivors playbook: you fight endless waves of Tyranids threatening the Imperium of Man, evolve your weapons, and die a lot before you're strong enough to tank the hordes. Extremis bosses will push your builds to the limit, and at launch you'll have over 40 playable characters and 70 weapons to collect. That's a lot of ways to purge xenos.

The game will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and Switch. It's also coming to Xbox Game Pass, so subscribers can jump in without spending extra. If you want a taste right now, a new demo is live on PC via Steam, featuring heroes Lyssa Revenya and the Legend of Catachan. It's a fresh slice of the carnage, and a good way to see if you can survive before the full release.

Launching so close to GTA 6 is a bold move. Many publishers and developers have opted to avoid that massive elephant in the room, but a few are standing their ground, including one featuring Godzilla. Warhammer Survivors is clearly not backing down, and honestly, we respect the audacity.

This isn't the only Survivaton on the way. Poncle, the developer behind Vampire Survivors, is also working on Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble. Like Vampire Survivors and Warhammer Survivors, it features bullet-heaven gameplay, but it draws from the manga and anime's Culling Games storyline to shift toward a "survivors royal" experience. The goal is to exorcise cursed spirits, grow your power, and outscore opponents to be the last player standing. Originally slated for this year, it's now set for 2027.

So, will you be diving into Warhammer Survivors before GTA 6 takes over your life? Or are you saving all your gaming time for Rockstar's next epic? Let us know in the comments!
