Cyberpunk 2077 DLSS 5 Mod Makes Judy Look Photo-Real

A Reddit user shared DLSS 5 comparison shots for Cyberpunk 2077, using community mods to inject NVIDIA's neural rendering for stunning, near-photorealistic results.

You've probably seen Judy Alvarez a thousand times in Cyberpunk 2077, but you've never seen her quite like this. A Reddit user just dropped a set of comparison screenshots showing what DLSS 5 can do to the game's characters, and the results are genuinely jaw-dropping.

The magic here isn't official. It's all thanks to community mods that inject NVIDIA's DLSS 5 neural rendering tech into the game. Two ReShade/RenoDX-based plugins handle the heavy lifting, pushing the DLSS 5 neural model into the engine and supporting multi-channel processing. Players then fine-tune the parameters to get a more natural, realistic look, usually paired with max in-game settings and path tracing enabled.

Right now, this setup is strictly an unofficial community experiment. There's no native DLSS 5 support in Cyberpunk 2077 yet, but on high-end GPUs the difference is massive. Skin micro-detail, material textures, and lighting all take a qualitative leap forward. Visually, it gets shockingly close to photorealism.

Of course, that fidelity comes at a cost. The performance demands are extremely high, so don't expect to run this on a mid-range card without some serious compromises.

It's also worth keeping your expectations in check. The image quality and performance shown online don't represent what DLSS 5 will look like in its final, official form. These are early demos, and the real deal still needs to be validated once NVIDIA actually releases the feature.

For now, though, it's a fascinating glimpse at where neural rendering is headed. And yeah, Judy looking like a real person is a pretty wild sight.

What do you think? Would you trade frames for that level of detail, or is this a bit too uncanny for your taste? Let us know in the comments.
