Capcom's First U.S. Store Opens in LA This Weekend

Ever wanted to walk into a Capcom store without booking a flight to Japan? Well, you're in luck.

Capcom is officially opening its first retail store in the United States, and it's a pop-up shop in Little Akihabara, located in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. The grand opening is this Saturday, September 19.

If you're planning to swing by, here's what you need to know. A limited number of attendees will have a chance to play the upcoming Mega Man: Dual Override on Saturday and Sunday. That's right, you could get hands-on time with the Blue Bomber's next adventure before it officially launches.

But that's not all. The first 50 shoppers on both the 19th and 20th will receive a limited-edition Tokyo Game Show handkerchief featuring popular Capcom games. That's a pretty sweet collector's item for early birds.

This move makes a lot of sense given Capcom's momentum right now. The publisher has already delivered three well-received games this year: Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword. With that kind of lineup, opening a physical retail space feels like a natural next step to connect with fans directly.

For those who can't make it to Los Angeles, this is still a notable moment. It's Capcom's first retail store in the U.S., and if the pop-up does well, it could pave the way for more permanent locations down the line. For now, though, it's a limited-time opportunity for LA-based fans to grab exclusive merch and try out a highly anticipated game.

So, are you going to check out the Capcom pop-up this weekend? And if you're not in LA, would you like to see Capcom open a store near you? Let us know what you think!
