Ever dreamed of seeing GTA cars in real life? Well, dream no more – Rockstar just made it happen in Miami.
With GTA 6 only a month away, Rockstar has kicked its marketing into overdrive. How? By unleashing a fleet of supercars inspired by the game onto the streets of Miami – aka real-life Vice City. Florida residents have been spotting these colorful rides all over town, and the internet is eating it up.
A Reddit clip shows a group of these cars casually filling up at a gas station. The lineup includes a Manana, Buccaneer, Tempesta, Cheetah, Coquette D10, and Emerus – all straight out of the GTA universe. And before you cry "AI!" – multiple clips confirm these are real, with one thread showing the cars cruising around Florida, led by a Vice City Police Department car. It's a surreal sight, especially with regular traffic going about its business around them.
This might be Rockstar's most unique marketing stunt yet. After years of fans theorizing over cryptic hints, seeing fully realized GTA 6 cars in the real Vice City is something else. The replies are gold, too. One fan jokes, "Man, they just handed their marketing director a blank cheque and told them to have fun, didn't they?" Another quips, "Is this the multimillion dollar advertisement campaign?" And one simply says, "Man, this is so sick."
So there you have it: if you're a game dev looking to promote your next big title, maybe just send out a bunch of fancy cars. It's clearly working.
What do you think of Rockstar's real-world marketing? Will you be picking up GTA 6 next month?
