Amiibo Dioramas Just Hit Amazon for $9.99 – Grab Them Before They're Gone

Ever wish you could display your amiibo in a cooler way than just lining them up on a shelf? Well, you're in luck – if you act fast. The Super Smash Bros. and Kirby series amiibo dioramas have popped up on Amazon for just $9.99 each. These little pop-out displays were originally exclusive to Japan, and finding them at a US retailer is a rare treat. So if you're an amiibo collector, you might want to grab them while you can.

For the uninitiated, amiibo dioramas are basically miniature stages that let you show off your NFC figures in fun, unique poses. They're a step up from the usual glass cabinet treatment. The Super Smash Bros. version offers plenty of flat surfaces to arrange your fighters, while the Kirby one has a more playful, hollowed-out design. Both are officially licensed by Nintendo and originally launched during the Wii U era.

Now, a word of caution: because these dioramas were designed back in the Wii U days, they might not fit some of the newer, more elaborate amiibo. For example, the large terrain of the Donkey Kong and Pauline amiibo could get in the way of the Kirby diorama's cutouts, and the vehicles of the massive Kirby Air Riders figures likely won't fit either. But here's the thing – you don't have to stick to the marketing images. As one collector showed with their Splatoon diorama, you can place your figures around however you like, and it still looks fantastic.

The fact that these are even available on Amazon is kind of a big deal. A decade ago, importing a single Splatoon diorama from Japan would set you back at least $20. So seeing these for $9.99 stateside is a pleasant surprise. It's not the full range – just the Smash Bros. and Kirby sets – but hey, it's better than nothing.

Given how rare these are and the fact that they're Japan-exclusive, I suspect they'll disappear for good sooner rather than later. They could easily become reseller fodder. With so many new amiibo slated for 2026, hopefully Nintendo will produce more display add-ons. But for now, these dioramas are the best official way to spruce up your collection.
