6-Player Ramen Shop Chaos Hits Steam Oct 9

Ever dreamed of running your own ramen shop with five friends—and having it all go hilariously wrong? Japanese Ramen Simulator is about to make that dream a reality on Steam.

Wild Dog, a Japanese indie studio, has announced that Japanese Ramen Simulator will enter Steam Early Access on October 9. The game was originally slated for late September, but a sudden delay—caused by factors including Steam's review process—pushed it back. Now the wait is almost over, and you can finally roll up your sleeves and start simmering that broth.

The game supports up to six players in co-op, and it's not just about slinging bowls. You'll handle everything: prepping ingredients, simmering the soup base, boiling noodles, taking orders, serving customers, washing dishes, and cleaning the shop. Every step is on you and your crew.

And yes, the details matter. Noodle firmness, broth temperature, the aroma and umami from your ingredients, and how fast you serve—all of it affects your craft. Different ingredient combos in the broth, plus physics-based plating, mean every bowl comes out a little different.

Ramen is just the start. You can build out a fuller menu with gyoza, chashu don, and beer. But sides need care too: you'll need to nail the pan-fried gyoza timing and pour beer with the right ratio of liquid to foam.

Running a shop isn't all calm service, either. You'll face surprise situations like dine-and-dashers, burglars sneaking in, and even kitchen fires. Depending on the crisis, you might need to reach for a shuriken or a fire extinguisher to save the day.

To make up for the delay, Wild Dog is offering a 15% discount when the game launches on October 9. So if you've been waiting to build the ultimate ramen team, that's a nice little bonus.

Will you be grabbing your apron and joining a six-player ramen squad on day one? What do you think—can you handle the heat, or will your kitchen go up in flames?
