Hytale Cursebreaker Owners Get Free Game Copies Every Chapter

Simon Collins-Laflamme, founder of Hytale studio Hypixel, hopped on Twitter with a pretty generous offer: every time a new Hytale early access chapter drops on the road to 1.0, Cursebreaker Edition owners will get one extra Standard Edition copy of the game to give away. Yes, really.

"For every Hytale early access chapter we release, Cursebreaker Edition owners will get 1 extra game copy to give away," Simon wrote. He then spelled out exactly what that could mean: "If we release 6 chapters before 1.0, that's 6 extra standard copies to give to friends and family!"

So if you're a Cursebreaker owner, keep an eye on your account inbox when each new chapter arrives. The first one, Chapter I: Out of the Breach, launches October 12 at 10 AM ET, and that's when those codes should start showing up. Every chapter after that means another copy to hand out, all the way until the game finally hits its 1.0 update.

If you're sitting there wondering who on earth you'd even gift six copies of Hytale to, you're not alone. One Twitter user asked Simon that exact question, and his answer was pure Simon: "get more friends bro." Honestly? Fair.

This kind of move fits the Hypixel founder's track record. He takes his work seriously, but he clearly likes to have fun with the community, like when he offered $15,000 to the first person who could beat a ridiculous challenge in the upcoming Out of the Breach update.
