Did you manage to log into the World of Warcraft Forever beta yesterday? If not, you're definitely not alone. The first day of beta was absolutely slammed, with servers getting walloped right from the very jump.
We were pretty confident that the first day was going to be busy, and the devs at Blizzard likely expected it too. But everyone appeared to be surprised at just how busy it got. Senior game producer Tom Ellis... well, let's just say the team had their hands full.
Massive queues, lag, and bugs were the order of the day. Players reported long wait times just to get into the game, and once they were in, things weren't exactly smooth. Lag spikes and various bugs made the experience rough for many.
Despite the rocky start, plenty of early opinions are already floating around. Some players are sharing their thoughts on the beta's current state, while others are just happy to finally get a taste of what's to come.
It's not uncommon for a beta this highly anticipated to have a rough first day. The sheer number of players trying to get in can overwhelm even the most prepared servers. Blizzard will likely be working hard to iron out these issues in the coming days.
For now, if you're trying to get in, you might want to pack your patience. The queues are real, and the lag is no joke. But hey, it's a beta – things are bound to improve.
