Star Wars: Galactic Racer's Biddy Blas Actor Knows He's Annoying

Have you met Biddy Blas yet? If you've played Star Wars: Galactic Racer, you probably have an opinion. The crocodilian alien has become a breakout star, and the voice actor behind him is just as overwhelmed as we are.

Richard Summers-Calvert, the man who brings Biddy to life, tells Empire that he's been taken aback by the reception. But don't worry—he's not just collecting a paycheck. "Yes, I'm playing the game," he confirms. "Yes, I love the game. Am I any good at it? That's another question." So even the actor isn't immune to Galactic Racer's brutal challenge.

Speaking of which, if you've found the game tough, you're not alone. The developers intentionally cranked up the difficulty, so expect a real test of your racing skills. But back to Biddy: Summers-Calvert has gotten to know his character intimately, and he's not sugarcoating it.

"He's incredibly annoying," he admits. "There's that thing called 'cuteness aggression.' I love him so much, I want to throw him at the wall. That's how I feel about Biddy Blas." Sounds about right for a character who's equal parts adorable and infuriating.

But here's the thing: whether you love Biddy or love to hate him, he's unanimously appreciated. Summers-Calvert adds, "Whether you love him, or you love him because you love to hate him, [Biddy] is unanimously appreciated." That's the magic of a memorable side character.

Star Wars has a long history of weird little guys with big personalities—think Salacious B. Crumb, Babu Frik, and Ben Quadinaros. Biddy Blas fits right in, carrying on that proud tradition. And honestly, that's a big part of why we keep coming back to this galaxy far, far away.

So, what do you think of Biddy Blas? Love him or love to hate him? Let us know in the comments! And if you haven't yet, check out our full Star Wars: Galactic Racer review.
