Ever wished you could just practice that one brutal stage in DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite without grinding through the whole run first? Well, CAVE Interactive has heard you loud and clear.
Version 1.1.0 is now live on Steam, and the headline addition is the Training Mode that fans have been asking for. You can now practice individual stages on their own, which should make learning bullet patterns a whole lot less painful.
Here's the best part: Training Mode supports every stage currently available in the game, including the new AREA 6. So whether you're trying to master an early section or you're banging your head against the newest content, you can jump straight in and drill it until it clicks.
That's not the only change in this patch, either. CAVE Interactive has also updated the coin rewards tied to Grade Match, giving that mode a bit of a tune-up alongside the new practice tools.
And if you were worried this was a one-and-done update, don't be. The team has confirmed that additional updates are planned through Winter, so there's more to come for the bullet-hell faithful.
For anyone who's been putting off diving deeper into the game because the difficulty curve felt like a wall, Training Mode could be the perfect excuse to jump back in. Being able to isolate a single stage means you can actually study the patterns instead of just reacting and hoping for the best.
The Grade Match coin tweak is a smaller note, but it's the kind of quality-of-life adjustment that adds up over time. And with more updates promised through the Winter months, this feels like a game that's still very much being actively supported.
So, are you going to fire up Training Mode and finally conquer that stage that's been haunting you? What do you think of the Grade Match changes? Let us know in the comments.
