A modder has crammed Minecraft's entire system into Elden Ring, complete with redstone, creative mode and 1,600+ items. Here's what we know so far.

Minecraft Invades Elden Ring: Insane Mod Adds 1,600+ Items

Ever wondered what it'd be like to punch a Tree Sentinel while dressed as Steve? One modder just answered that question in the most ridiculous way possible.

Handcrafted creator Tobyn Jacobs, known for building giant multi-meter tall VTuber and anime character standees, has revealed an absolutely wild Elden Ring mod that drops Minecraft's entire game system straight into the Lands Between. And no, this isn't just a Steve skin slapped onto your Tarnished.

Jacobs showed off the project on X on September 29 with the simple caption "I put the entire of game minecraft into elden ring as mod. its runs on Mac." The footage shows the Lands Between keeping its original enemies and scenery, but the interface has been completely swapped out for Minecraft's signature style.

So what actually carries over? Pretty much everything you'd hope for. Items, inventory, building, redstone contraptions and even Creative Mode have all been ported in. According to Jacobs, the mod packs over 1,600 Minecraft items, and the redstone system actually works. If you know your redstone, you know that means automation, traps, doors, farms and all kinds of complicated machinery are theoretically on the table.

A second clip shows Steve wielding a pixel sword and shield against Elden Ring's enemies, switching between different tools and weapons while taking on the giant creatures of the Lands Between. The Minecraft HUD stays intact throughout, and you've still got your health, hunger, armor and XP systems running the show.

The response has been massive. The reveal video racked up over 280,000 likes and 16.02 million views within just two days, which tells you exactly how hungry people are for this crossover chaos.

Before you start clearing space on your drive, though, there are some big caveats. Jacobs hasn't shared a download link, there's no confirmed release date, and he hasn't said whether other players will ever get to try it themselves. On top of that, the public videos don't show all 1,600 items or the full redstone system in action, so those features still need real-world confirmation.

Still, the idea alone is enough to get the imagination going. Building a redstone farm in the middle of Caelid? Setting up automated traps for Malenia? The possibilities are equal parts hilarious and terrifying.

Would you actually play a full Minecraft-Elden Ring mashup, or does the thought of hunger management during a boss fight stress you out? Let us know in the comments.
