Did your favorite game make the cut? The Golden Joystick Awards 2026 nominations are here, and two titles are stealing the spotlight: 007: First Light and Big Walk, each with five nominations.
Big Walk, the indie multiplayer gem, scored nods for Best Audio Design, Best Indie Game, Best Multiplayer Game, Best Game Trailer, and PC Game of the Year. Meanwhile, 007: First Light is up for Best Soundtrack, Best Storytelling, and Console Game of the Year, plus acting nods for Patrick Gibson as James Bond and Lennie James as John Greenway.
Hot on their heels is Resident Evil: Requiem with three nominations: Best Trailer, Console Game of the Year, and Best Supporting Performer for Angela Sant'Albano as Grace Ashcroft. Other triple nominees include Meccha Chameleon, Mewgenics, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Valheim, and Saros.
Voting for most categories is live now at goldenjoysticks.com until October 23. But mark your calendar: from October 26 to 30, voting opens for the biggest prize of the night—Ultimate Game of the Year. Nominations for that category haven't been revealed yet, so stay tuned.
There are also jury-selected awards for Streamers’ Choice, Breakthrough, and Critics’ Choice. All winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in London on Wednesday, November 11.
One notable absence? GTA 6. Its release date falls after voting closes, which means it won't be eligible to sweep the 'Big 5' awards in the 2026/7 season. That's a big deal for Rockstar fans.
