ASUS ProArt RTX Spark Laptops Are Its Thinnest Creators Yet

ASUS unveils ProArt P16 and P14 laptops plus the GR1X mini PC, all powered by NVIDIA's RTX Spark superchip with up to 128GB unified memory.

ASUS ProArt RTX Spark Laptops Are Its Thinnest Creators Yet

Ever wished your creator laptop was thinner without giving up serious horsepower? ASUS just answered with a whole new ProArt lineup built around NVIDIA's RTX Spark superchip, and the headline is simple: these are the slimmest ProArt machines the company has ever made.

Let's start with the laptops. ASUS is offering the ProArt P16 H7607 and ProArt P14 H7407, both targeting an 80W thermal design. Cooling comes from ultra-thin heat pipes and fans, and here's a nice touch: the waste heat is routed out the back instead of blasting the screen panel, which should help protect display longevity over time.

The 16-inch P16 H7607 packs a 4K 120Hz OLED screen and a 99.9Wh battery, measuring just 12.9mm thick and weighing 1.77kg. Compare that to the 2024 ProArt P16, which used an AMD CPU with an NVIDIA GPU and came in at 14.95mm, and you're looking at a 14% thickness reduction. That makes it ASUS's thinnest 16-inch ProArt ever.

The 14-inch P14 H7407 follows suit with a 3K 120Hz OLED display and a 90Wh battery, at 13.9mm thick and 1.48kg. The 2024 version was 17.39mm, so that's a 9% trim, and it earns the title of ASUS's lightest 14-inch ProArt to date. Both sizes come in Neo White and Nano Black, with a metal finish that resists fingerprints and water marks and feels closer to matte stone or ceramic. The power button is also separated out, which is always a welcome detail.

Under the hood, the RTX Spark superchip uses a unified memory architecture, meaning the CPU and GPU share the same memory pool. You can configure up to 128GB, or as low as 32GB. Storage runs on PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 2280 SSDs, with one slot on the 14-inch model and two on the 16-inch, giving you more room to expand later.

Then there's the ProArt GR1X, essentially a Windows version of the DGX Spark. It shares the same 140W thermal design, cooled by four heat pipes, an all-copper heatsink and dual fans, all inside a 150mm square chassis that's 46mm thick. Unified memory still maxes out at 128GB, and you get two PCIe 5.0/4.0 x4 M.2 2280 slots for excellent SSD expansion. The top cover uses the same nano-coating tech as the laptops, keeping fingerprints, oil and water stains at bay.

So, thinner bodies, shared memory pools and a tiny powerhouse desktop. Will you be picking one of these up for your creative workflow? What do you think of the new ProArt direction?
