Fallout Season 3 Eyes May or June Premiere, Says Kyle MacLachlan

Ready for another trip to the wasteland? Fallout season 3 might be closer than you think.

Star Kyle MacLachlan, who plays Hank, dropped a big update while signing copies of his new memoir. According to him, the cast is still hard at work. "We're still shooting away," he told a fan. "We've got about a month or so to go... and then probably come out maybe May or June." So mark your calendars for spring or summer.

Filming on season 3 kicked off in May 2026, roughly five months after season 2's December-January run. Since then, news has been pretty quiet, but there's one huge addition: Aaron Paul is joining the cast. Paul had spoken out several times about wanting to appear on the show, and now he's officially in. He joins Annabel O'Hagan and Dave Register, who play Vault dwellers Steph and Chet and have been promoted to series regulars.

Speaking of Hank, we weren't sure what happened to him after that season 2 finale. Good news: MacLachlan confirmed he will be back. In what capacity? That's the mystery. His mind has essentially been erased, so his character could go in any direction from here. One thing we're betting on: more pre-bomb flashbacks, especially now that we know how Hank is connected to Steph.

There's also a fresh location in store. Season 3 will partially take place in Colorado, a spot the games have never visited. That means new scenery, new threats, and hopefully some mutated moose. Yes, please.

While you wait, Fallout season 2 is streaming now on Prime Video. And if you need more to watch, there are plenty of new TV shows still to come in 2026 and beyond.

So, are you hyped for season 3? What do you want to see in Colorado? Let us know in the comments.
