WirForce 2026 Debuts Game Music Concert With FF7, Devotion

Ever wondered what it feels like to hear Sephiroth's theme played live by a 40-piece orchestra? WirForce 2026 just answered that question.

Day three of the event marked the first time the Feng Dong Chamber Orchestra took over the main stage for the "WirForce Symphony," a game music concert officially licensed by the original game publishers. The orchestra re-arranged and re-scored every piece for a lineup of more than 40 musicians, turning iconic game themes into full suites.

The show kicked off with the Elden Ring main theme, the same track that greets you on the title screen. The main stage screen matched the mood with visuals inspired by the Lands Between's dual-layer world, setting up the journey to become Elden Lord. Then came Final Fantasy VII's "One-Winged Angel," pushing the crowd straight into the Sephiroth showdown, with the stage bathed in the fires of revenge. When the final note hit, the room erupted in screams and applause.

The FFVII battle suite kept the energy going, running through the Mako Reactor bombing mission, "Let the Battles Begin!" and the frantic J-E-N-O-V-A theme, before closing with the classic Final Fantasy main theme and its long-running sense of adventure. After all that fighting, Hearthstone's "Pull Up a Chair" gave everyone a tavern break, followed by the Dragon Quest overture that sent listeners off like heroes on a journey. Next, the 40-piece ensemble and choir pulled players into Dark Souls 3's Lothric Castle to relive its classic battles.

Things shifted again with the trumpet-led intro of "Geki! Teikoku Kagekidan," dropping everyone into Sakura Wars' Taisho-era steampunk romance and kicking the crowd into another high. The Legend of Zelda suite then guided fans through Hyrule's famous locations, revisiting Link's classic adventures.

The finale belonged to Taiwanese indie studio Red Candle Games. "The Lady of the Pier" from Devotion, re-arranged into a symphonic version, closed the night. Original vocalist He Xia, who sang the Gong Li-Fang version, returned to perform it live, delivering the story-defining line, "If there were a next life, would you be willing to fulfill your wish?" It was the perfect emotional punctuation mark for the concert.
