Zelda-Themed Switch 2 Grip Case Steals the Show for Less

Ever wanted a Zelda-themed Switch 2 but your wallet said no? You're not alone. With the 40th Anniversary Switch 2 restocking at UK retailers and priced at a hefty $519.99, many of us are feeling some serious Biggoron-sized FOMO. But fear not, because Skull & Co (also known as Savage Raven) has a tempting alternative that won't leave you broke.

Enter the Legend of Zelda Limited Edition FissionGrip case. It's a grip accessory that adds a striking green and gold color scheme, reminiscent of Nintendo's shiny new console, plus a Triforce pattern on the back of the 7.9-inch display. It's not an exact match, but it definitely brings that Zelda flair to your setup.

The best part? The FissionGrip is currently on pre-order for just $32.99 (down from $55.99). That's a far cry from the $519.99 you'd drop on the actual console. And if Zelda isn't your thing, Skull & Co has a range of grip cases starting at $29.99 on Amazon.

Now, this isn't a carrying case—it's a grip you attach to your console to make it more comfortable to hold. Think of it like Belkin's Charging Grip. It adds ergonomic handles and some pizzazz to your otherwise plain Switch 2. Previous FissionGrip models offered interchangeable grips (Snap, Trigger, and Plus) with different textures and distances from the Joy-Cons. This Zelda edition features grips made of a transparent, glittery green plastic that even Nintendo can't match.

Plus, it's dock-friendly, so you won't have to remove it every time you want to play on your TV. And according to Skull & Co, you don't need to take it off for mouse mode either. If you pre-order, you'll also get a free set of Legend of Zelda themed thumb grips and button caps. They might not be officially licensed, but judging by the marketing images, they'll likely look spectacular.

So, if you're craving that Zelda aesthetic without the sticker shock, this grip case might just be your hero. Will you be picking one up? Let us know in the comments!
