Xbox at Tokyo Game Show 2026: All the Biggest Reveals

Did you miss Xbox's Tokyo Game Show 2026 broadcast? It aired at a painfully early hour, so we don't blame you if you slept through it. But don't worry—we've rounded up all the biggest announcements and trailers from the show.

Xbox has been trying to win over Japanese players for 20 years now, and this year's broadcast, hosted by Misuzu Araki, aimed to showcase what its Japanese partners are up to. The show delivered a mix of new gameplay, exclusive content, and plenty of trailers. Microsoft had already confirmed that Minecraft Dungeons 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 would be on the show floor, so new looks at those weren't too surprising. Gears of War: E-Day also made an appearance, and developers from across Japan and Asia featured heavily throughout.

Kicking things off was a new look at Gachiakuta: Breakout, the game based on the anime and manga about the value of trash. If you're a fan of the series, this one looks like a faithful adaptation with plenty of action. Then we got a fresh Crazy Taxi trailer, showing off a new Japanese map to tear around in. And Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 dropped a new trailer that dives deeper into John Price's shadow operations—it's out next month, so expect conspiracies, action, and military jargon.

In a lighter moment, the black Xbox cat from the TGS branding finally got a name: Midori, as voted by fans. We're still hoping it becomes the brand's mascot. On the RPG front, Persona 4 Revival got a new trailer and is set for February 2027. Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember showed off combat and a grueling boss battle, with a March 2027 launch for PC and console. Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories also got a character trailer featuring the return of Rutger and Lenja from Atelier Yumia.

Other highlights included Shape of Dreams, an action co-op roguelite now on console and available day one on Xbox Game Pass. Hope in the City, a narrative mystery where you play as an artist searching for two missing parents, launches November 10 and will also be on Game Pass. Bloomwalker, a heartfelt crafting adventure set in Luminoa, showed off its Studio Ghibli vibes. Faraday Blues, a visual-novel adventure from Serenity Forge, and Edge of Memories, a solo JRPG out November 5, also made appearances. Plus, Genigods Nuzha, an action RPG mixing fighting-game mechanics with Chinese legends, and Fallout 76: The Slasher, just in time for spooky season.

Once Human: The Abyss got a trailer for its biggest update yet, Ocean Expansion: Isles of Abyss, arriving October 22. And in a big reveal, Hideo Kojima's return to tactical espionage action, Physint, will star Bill Skarsgård in the lead role, with Fraser, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe also in the cast.
