Remember P.T., the playable teaser that scared the pants off everyone back in 2014? Well, it's back from the dead — this time on PC. A developer named LoreanXavier has released a native PC port of Hideo Kojima's legendary demo, and it's packed with modern bells and whistles.

According to Twisted Voxel, this isn't just an emulator wrapper. LoreanXavier rebuilt the game's logic in C++ and rewrote the renderer using Vulkan. The port doesn't include any of the original copyrighted assets; instead, it reads levels, models, textures, sounds, scripts, and cutscenes from a PS4 copy of the game at runtime. So you'll need to own P.T. on PS4 to play it — but since it was delisted from the PlayStation Store years ago, that's easier said than done for most folks.

The project was made independently in the developer's spare time, with the goal of preserving P.T. for future generations. The port includes the full experience, from the opening sequence all the way to the street section, complete with voice clips. It's a faithful recreation, but with a ton of PC-exclusive upgrades.

Visually, you can push the game far beyond the original PS4 settings. The port supports a wide range of modern graphics options: resolution and display modes, V-Sync, AMD FSR 3.1, NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, and Intel XeSS, plus frame generation on compatible hardware. Quality presets range from Low to Ultra, and you can tweak shadows, ray-traced ambient occlusion, ground reflections, anisotropic filtering, depth of field, motion blur, and more.

But that's not all — LoreanXavier also added features that weren't in the original. There's a photo mode, free camera, loop browser, museum, New Game+, speedrun timer, and even experimental third-person and VR modes. You can also generate enhanced textures from the game files if you want to sharpen things up.

Language support is impressive too. The port includes the original English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Japanese options, plus new menu, settings, and subtitle support for Turkish, Simplified Chinese, Arabic, Russian, and Ukrainian. That means even more players can experience the horror in their native tongue.

For preservationists and horror fans alike, this is a big deal. P.T. has been essentially lost to time for most people, and this port keeps its memory alive with a modern twist. If you've got a PS4 copy lying around, you can finally play it on PC with all the bells and whistles.

So, are you brave enough to step back into that hallway? Let us know in the comments!
