Ever seen a Lamborghini with Vice City police livery cruising down a real Miami street? That's exactly what Rockstar just pulled off.
The GTA 6 marketing machine has officially gone full throttle. Rockstar modded a fleet of real-world vehicles to look like their in-game counterparts and sent them rolling through Miami in a tight convoy. The cars sported Leonida license plates — the fictional Florida plates you'll see in the game — and even included a VCPD-liveried Lamborghini police vehicle leading the pack.
If you know your GTA rides, you'd have spotted some familiar shapes. There was a McLaren kitted out like the Progen Emerus, plus real-life takes on the Cheetah, Coquette D10, Tempesta, and Manana. Basically, a dream garage you'd normally only find in Los Santos customs. The cost of putting this together? Probably enough to buy a few actual supercars.
Social media ate it up. "That Vice City Police Huracan is FIRE," one X user wrote. Another joked, "Miami is so unserious for turning a game launch into a city-wide event like this is just a normal Tuesday for them." And honestly, they're not wrong — this is next-level promotion.
Local outlet Only in Dade even spotted some of the cars parked at a gas station, with the Goodyear blimp — carrying its own GTA 6 ad — hovering overhead. Compare that to PlayStation reminding everyone GTA 5 is leaving PS Plus soon. Yeah, not even close.
Rockstar's been deep in Florida research trips to nail the state's vibe for its satire-soaked version of Miami. CBS News recently ran a segment marveling at how accurately the game captures the city. Meanwhile, the Australian government even published a graphic about workers' rights to request time off for GTA 6's launch. Some Miami officials have raised eyebrows at Rockstar's growing influence, especially with beach takeovers and a Miami Heat collaboration.
With GTA 6 launching November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, the hype train isn't slowing down. It's been a packed week too — reports of Cyberleek's end, details on the sweat system, and confirmation the game is eligible for The Game Awards 2026.
So, what do you think of Rockstar turning Miami into a real-life Vice City? Will you be picking up GTA 6 at launch?
