Have you ever killed a mob in WoW, only to find you can't loot it? Well, in the latest World of Warcraft: Forever Beta patch, that's exactly what's happening – and players are not happy.
The patch, which marks the fourth week of the Beta, brings a bunch of bug fixes and class changes. But the most contentious point? The reintroduction of Classic looting behavior. According to the patch notes, "creatures that dropped no loot can still be interacted with." Sounds harmless, right? Wrong. It's driving players up the wall. On Reddit, one user bluntly asked, "Why?" and another added, "I found it mildly annoying/confusing at first when I killed a mob and I couldn't loot it. Took me a bit to realize what was going on." Yeah, we feel you.
But that's not the only issue. The class changes – or lack thereof – are also causing a stir. Rogues, in particular, got absolutely nothing. One player sarcastically joked, "Sick Rogue changes" (spoiler: there are none). Casters like Druids, Priests, and Shamans did get some tweaks, but they're not winning anyone over. As one fan put it, "They're committed to making casters feel bad at low levels." Ouch.
Take the Shaman's Lightning Bolt. Blizzard adjusted its "base points and points per level of ranks 1-5" to make the growth rate more consistent and ensure new ranks are always an upgrade. But players are calling it a non-change. "0 meaningful changes," one wrote. It feels like the devs are nerfing lower ranks instead of making higher ranks better – and that's not sitting well.
So, what's the takeaway? The WoW: Forever Beta is still in its early days, and Blizzard is clearly listening. With all this feedback, it's likely we'll see more adjustments soon. After all, the community's voice is loud, and the devs have a history of responding.
In the meantime, if you're in the Beta, you might want to brace yourself for some frustrating looting moments. And if you're a Rogue main? Well, maybe sit this one out.
What do you think about these changes? Are you happy with the direction WoW: Forever is heading, or do you want to see more? Let us know in the comments!
