Marvel's Wolverine Gets the GTA 6 Treatment With New PS App Theme

Sony is going all-in on Wolverine, and your phone is getting in on the action. Ahead of Marvel's Wolverine launch, the PS App has been updated with a fresh yellow-and-black color scheme that matches the limited-edition PS5 console and DualSense controller. Fire up the app and you're instantly hit with that full-on Logan vibe.

It's the same kind of promotional push we saw for GTA 6, so yeah, Sony is treating this one like a big deal. And honestly, it makes sense.

Marvel's Wolverine is being developed by Insomniac Games, the studio behind the Marvel's Spider-Man series. It's another PS5-exclusive Marvel action game, and it's locked in for a September 15, 2026 release.

You'll step into the boots of Logan, who's lost his memories and ends up rejoining the mutant task force known as X-Force. From there, he gets tangled up in a global conspiracy that threatens both humans and mutants alike.

The story zeroes in on Wolverine's dark past and the tug-of-war between his human and animal sides. Classic characters like Jean Grey, Mystique, and Sabretooth all play major roles, so fans of the comics and cartoons should have plenty to geek out over.

Just a heads-up: the game is rated M, and the combat is every bit as bloody and brutal as you'd expect. It leans hard into melee shredding and vicious executions, plus there are multiple classic suits to unlock as you play.
