Battlefield 6 Season 5 launches October 13 with Las Vegas and Area 51 maps, a new fast-paced battle royale, and a Dead Space crossover event.

Battlefield 6 is packing its bags and heading to Sin City. Season 5 kicks off on October 13, and it's bringing three new maps, a brand-new way to play Battlefield REDSEC, and a Dead Space crossover that horror fans are going to recognize immediately.

EA and Battlefield Studios dropped the first look at Season 5, and the headline is Nevada. Phase 1, called Siege of Las Vegas, adds two maps right out of the gate. The first, Las Vegas Strip, turns the iconic neon-soaked boulevard into a proper warzone — think flashy restaurants, tangled tunnels, and stacked multi-story casinos and hotels that are basically built for chaos. The second map pulls you away from the lights and drops you on the edge of the ultra-secret Area 51, where you'll fight across desert hills and push into underground facilities at one of America's most infamous locations.

Phase 1 also introduces a fresh way to experience Battlefield REDSEC: Fast Battle Royale. It's a tighter, more intense spin on the battle royale formula with faster rounds and fewer players, all set on the Las Vegas Strip. The goal never changes — be the last squad standing. Taking down enemies earns you redeploy tokens to get back in the fight, but the kill count required to earn those tokens keeps climbing as the match goes on. Open and Elite play also return for Battlefield REDSEC, with Elite boasting a $1,338,000 global prize pool.

"Battlefield 6 has now hit its one-year anniversary, and it's been an incredible journey — from our Top Gun crossover, which lined up with the return of naval warfare, to some of the most exciting maps in Battlefield history. And we're just getting started, with Season 5 shaping up to be our biggest season yet," said Patrick Klaus, General Manager of Battlefield Studios Motive and Ripple Effect. "It's been another unforgettable year, and we want to thank all our players for their support. We're closing out 2026 with three maps set in and around Las Vegas, a brand-new way to play Battlefield REDSEC, and by addressing the community's most requested features with the introduction of platoons and server browsing. There's never been a better time to jump into Battlefield."

Right around Halloween, a limited-time scenario runs from October 20 to November 7. Pax Armata heads underground at Area 51 hunting hidden tech, and if you're a Dead Space fan, this is going to look very familiar. The non-canon event celebrates everything Dead Space, featuring environmental spaces adapted from the 2023 remake and unique cosmetics for players to unlock.

Season 5 Phase 2, Casino Heist, arrives November 10 with the season's third map. The European Casino is one of the grandest on the Las Vegas Strip, and deep in its vault sits a secret both Pax Armata and NATO desperately want. This map is all about close-quarters combat, packed with destructible elements that let battle-hardened squads carve new paths and open up fresh tactical options.

Season 5 wraps on December 8 with Phase 3, Frozen Ace, bringing an unexpected chill to Las Vegas and launching a brand-new operation. That operation spans both the Las Vegas Strip and Area 51, throwing players into an epic war with the global balance of power on the line. Which part of Season 5 are you most hyped for — the Strip, Area 51, or that Dead Space event?
