Did you hear the one about Kojima Productions ditching PlayStation for Xbox? Well, the studio itself is telling you to take that story with a grain of salt.
A recent report (we won't name names) claimed to explain why Hideo Kojima's team supposedly shifted its next big project from Sony's console to Microsoft's. The article made the rounds online, sparking plenty of debate among fans.
But Kojima Productions isn't having it. In a statement, the studio said: "None of the claims written came from any official or on-the-record source." That's a pretty blunt way of saying: don't believe everything you read.
The studio also asked players to treat the report "with a dose of scepticism." In other words, until you hear it straight from Kojima himself, it's just noise.
So what do we actually know? Not much beyond this: Kojima Productions is working on a new game, and there's been speculation about platform exclusivity. But the studio's response makes it clear that the recent report isn't the definitive answer.
For now, the smart move is to wait for official announcements. Kojima is known for keeping fans guessing, but he also loves a good reveal. When there's real news, you'll hear it from the source.
What do you think? Are you buying the report, or are you with Kojima Productions on this one? Let us know in the comments.
