PC Gamer Editor Reveals 13 Must-Play Steam Wishlist Games

While he's looking forward to big names like Dawn of War 4 and Divinity, he tends to avoid wishlisting obvious blockbusters. His favorite genres? Hunger is a multiplayer zombie extraction RPG with occult elements in an 18th-century setting—he's wary of overly ambitious genre mashups, but Hunt: Showdown is his most-played Steam game ever, so he's keeping an eye on it. Mars Tactics brings a Japanese art sensibility to a western-style tactics game, and he trusts publisher Hooded Horse to see it through.

Wane is the last turn-based game on the list, with fabulous art direction and horror/Dishonored/vaguely Disco Elysium facets. D.O.R.F. Real-Time Strategic Conflict is a grimy-gorgeous Command & Conquer successor, and he loves the size contrast between XXL tank units and infantry. Away Team is roughly multiplayer Oxygen Not Included, with simulated gas, liquid, temperature, and other science making everything systemic.
