EGS Free Games: Mechabellum and Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles

Looking for your next strategic fix? Epic Games Store has you covered with two free games this week: Mechabellum and Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles. Both are available to claim now until October 1, and both support Traditional Chinese.

Mechabellum is a mech auto-battler where you become a frontline commander, building an army from light fighters to giant titans. You'll reorganize troops, research tech, and position units to crush the enemy. The game emphasizes that victory is about brains, not fast fingers—no frantic clicking required. You observe the battlefield, predict your opponent, and adapt your tactics. You can also customize units in the mech factory and enhance them mid-battle. For example, turn a sniper mech into a swarm-clearing harvester, or equip heavy tanks with explosive modules. Mechabellum offers multiple modes: 1v1 ranked and tournaments, 2v2, 4-player free-for-all, survival, and the ever-changing rift mode. This EGS giveaway is the paid version, which has been updated since its September 2024 launch, including a major 2.0 update that added a Roguelite mode and new units. Note that the Steam version now has a basic free version, but the EGS freebie is the full package.

Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles is a dice-based deck-building Roguelike. You play as one of six Oracles, exploring ancient ruins. Instead of cards, you use dice, with a dual system of Purification and Corruption. You can purify enemies or take on corruption yourself for powerful effects, balancing risk and reward. There are hundreds of dice, upgradable sentinels, and unique passive blessings. You'll choose your path through lost civilizations, facing diverse enemies and bosses. The story: a ancient civilization ruled by mysterious stars fell to the Crimson Dawn cataclysm, spreading corruption. Eons later, young descendants awaken and find the lost six-sided artifacts, embarking on a quest to save the galaxy and uncover the truth. Astrea received a major 1.3 update in early September, celebrating its 3rd anniversary. A free demo is available on Steam.
