NieR: Automata fans, your wallet might want to start preparing itself now. Japanese model maker Volks has just pulled the curtain back on a brand-new Dollfie Dream figure of everyone's favorite android, 2B, and she's looking seriously sharp.
The new release is called DDdy 2B 2.0, and it's built on Volks' upgraded DDdy 2.0 (DD-f³) body. According to the official description, the team reworked the proportions, costume details, and articulation to give the whole package a fresh pass. If you're planning to add her to your shelf, note that delivery is currently expected in winter 2027.
One of the biggest changes is the head size and overall body balance. Volks says the adjustments keep 2B's original character vibe intact while giving her a longer, more harmonious silhouette. In other words, she should look a little more elegant and put-together than before.
Her iconic black outfit got plenty of attention too. The embroidery, the patterns on the chest and back, the sleeve length, the puffiness of the fabric, and the tailoring that hugs her frame have all been fine-tuned. The goal is to recreate that classic in-game look as faithfully as possible, and from the sound of it, no stitch was left unchecked.
The body upgrade is just as important. The new base improves joint articulation and pose-holding ability, so you can actually get her into all those dynamic stances without everything flopping around. That means more freedom to show off 2B's nimble, combat-ready posture.
She also comes with a newly made weapon: the White Contract sword, featuring a clean white blade and detailed finishing. On the face side, Volks used resin eyes and carefully adjusted the makeup and facial sculpt to capture 2B's expression beneath her combat goggles. It's the little things that sell the character, and this one seems to nail them.
There's no word yet on pricing, so keep an eye out for more details down the line. If you're a NieR collector, this is probably one to start saving for now rather than later.
What do you think of the new 2B Dollfie Dream? Are you tempted to clear some shelf space for her, or is your collection already full? Let us know!
