Ever wonder when you'll be able to jump into GTA 6's online world with your friends? If Twitch CEO Dan Clancy is right, you might be waiting until 2027.

In an interview with Bloomberg (via IGN), Clancy said Twitch has spent "a lot of time talking with Rockstar about their plans." He believes the game's multiplayer component could arrive in 2027, which would give Twitch a massive boost as streamers flock to the new online mode.

Of course, Rockstar hasn't officially announced any multiplayer support for GTA 6. The studio has only described the game as a "single-player experience." But Clancy's comments aren't just random speculation—his teams have been in direct contact with Rockstar, so he likely knows more than he's letting on.

Historically, GTA 5 launched without multiplayer on September 17, 2013, and GTA Online didn't debut until a few weeks later. Clancy's suggestion points to a much longer gap this time around—possibly over a year after the single-player release.

Why the delay? GTA Online has been a massive money-maker for Rockstar, thanks to microtransactions and a dedicated player base. Convincing those players to move to a new version won't be easy, so Rockstar might be taking its time to get the multiplayer right.

GTA 6 is set to launch on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a PC edition expected to follow. If Clancy's prediction holds, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the single-player story before diving into online chaos.

What do you think? Are you happy to wait until 2027 for GTA 6 multiplayer, or would you rather see it sooner? Let us know in the comments!
