GTA 6 DualSense Controllers Are Already Being Scalped on eBay

Scalpers are flipping GTA 6 DualSense controllers on eBay for around $140, well above the $84 MSRP, even before the November 19 launch.

Remember the chaos of trying to buy a PS5 in 2021? Well, it looks like scalpers are back at it, and this time they're targeting GTA 6 DualSense controllers. These limited-edition pads were just unveiled, and while they haven't even shipped yet, resellers are already cashing in on eBay.

Sony has two GTA 6 controller designs up for preorder on PlayStation Direct, each priced at $84. But over on eBay, listings are popping up with prices averaging around $140 per sale. That's a hefty markup for something that won't even arrive until November 19—the same day GTA 6 launches. And believe it or not, people are actually buying them. The white model is currently out of stock on Sony's store, while the black version is still available for preorder.

What's wild is that these eBay sales seem to violate the site's own terms of service, which state that presale listings must guarantee shipment within 40 business days of purchase. Since the controllers don't ship until November 19, every listing is well beyond that window. But eBay isn't exactly known for enforcing its own rules, so scalpers are getting away with it.

This isn't the first time we've seen this pattern. The 25th-anniversary Xbox Series X sold out in under a minute, and the Zelda-themed Switch 2 console was gone in record time. Now, GTA 6 hype is driving the same frenzy. The controllers themselves are pretty slick, featuring a shimmering, color-shifting finish and palm tree details molded right into the body. It's easy to see why fans want them.

Sony hasn't announced a limited-edition GTA 6 PS5 yet, but it did recently launch two cool Wolverine-themed consoles. So maybe we'll see a GTA 6 console bundle down the line. For now, if you're hoping to snag one of these controllers at retail price, you might want to act fast—or risk paying double on the secondary market.
