Persona fans, we've got a fresh crumb of info about Persona 6, and it's all about how you'll be able to pick it up on store shelves.
Sega quietly updated the official website today with details on the physical versions of Persona 6, and there's a notable change from what we saw before. The game will get physical editions on PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
Here's the interesting part: earlier listings only showed a PS5 physical version. Now the Switch 2 has joined the party, which means the lineup of boxed copies has shifted since the game was first teased.
What about Xbox? That's where things get murky. Sega hasn't said a word about an Xbox physical edition. It's unclear whether the company has decided to skip Xbox boxed copies entirely or simply hasn't announced them yet.
For context, Persona 6 is the next big entry in Atlus's beloved JRPG series, published under the Sega umbrella. We still don't have a release date or a price, so this physical edition update is basically all we have to chew on for now.
It's also worth noting that the game's platform listing includes PC, PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S, so an Xbox version of the game itself is still on the table. The physical edition question is a separate matter.
So if you're a collector who likes having a disc or cartridge on your shelf, the safe bets right now are PS5 and Switch 2. Xbox players might want to keep their fingers crossed for an announcement down the line.
We'll keep an eye on Sega for any official word on Xbox physical editions, release timing, and pricing. In the meantime, are you planning to grab Persona 6 physically, or are you going all-digital this generation? Let us know in the comments.
