GTA 6 Scalpers Want $1,500 for $400 Collector's Box, But It's Still in Stock

Ever tried to buy a concert ticket only to find it instantly relisted at triple the price? That's basically what's happening with the GTA 6 Collector's Box right now. The $400 bundle is still up for pre-order on Rockstar's official website, but that hasn't stopped scalpers from trying to flip it on eBay for as much as $1,500.

In case you missed it, the Collector's Box doesn't even include the game itself. Instead, you get goodies like a six-inch alligator figure and a collectible spoon. Yeah, a spoon. It's a hefty price tag for what's essentially a box of merch, which might explain why it hasn't sold out yet.

But scalpers are apparently banking on FOMO. A quick scan of eBay shows listings ranging from $800 to over $1,500, with a few "generous" offers around $600. Not a single one is at retail price. The problem? The box is still in stock on Rockstar's site, so anyone can just buy it directly for $400.

Fans aren't having it. Reddit threads are full of comments mocking the scalpers. One user wrote, "Honestly, if people buy these, the scalpers deserve that money." Another added, "Yeah, I'll stick with just the game. $100 is enough." That $100 refers to the Ultimate Edition of GTA 6, which at least includes the actual game.

So, will scalpers win this round? Probably not. With the box still available and fans unwilling to pay inflated prices for a game-less bundle, it seems like a losing battle. But hey, stranger things have happened in the world of gaming resales.
